The department of commerce was started in the year 1992 to explore new frontiers of knowledge and innovation in academics. The students in this department are exposed to a practical environment through live projects, workshops, Case studies, Practicals, Orientation Programme and industrial visits. Such a mode of education in fact boosts the spirit of students which later adds to their intellectual armory and industry preparedness.

The department was started in the year 1992. It was started to thrust the area of study to understand physical and biological terms.
The department has set up three spacious labs with all the necessary equipments, books and teaching aids. The other facilities provided include a balance and preparation room, a gas supplying unit along with the extensive equipment. Drug chemistry is also offered as one of the elective subject in the final year with necessary practical experimentation

The department has two Air Conditioned spacious labs with sophisticated instruments that are necessary for conducting various experiments. Spectrophotometer, Micro centrifuge and laminar air flow chambers are few items among the variety of equipment provided in the lab apart from a number of training kits.
